PopCom launches 1st NFTs sold in vending machines
On June 20, 2022, at the NFT.NYC, PopCom will partner with Knxtti to release their first NFT collection through the PopShop, their vending machines.
The collection, named the NYers, features cartoon portraits of celebrities such as Biggie, Whoopi Goldberg, Mike Tyson, Jay-Z, and Donald Trump.
Only 10 pieces will be on sale that day, each with a price tag of $500.
The vending machine will first print a high-quality physical print of the NYers collection. Then, the buyer will find a unique QR code to mint the digital NFT.
Christopher 'Knxtti' Green, the artist that will partner with PopCom, focuses on the contradictions of the human experience and the transition from human to digital being.
