NFT MUSE SERENADE

Muse is entering the NFT world!

"Will of The People" will indeed be the first one sold in the NFT format as well.

The British band will release their new album on August 26 kicking off a new trend, as this is the first innovative format introduced into the chart system since 2015 to date: NFT sales of Muse's album will be aggregated with data from streaming listens and sales of the physical album for the charts in the UK and Australia.

The album will be available for purchase in NFT format on "Serenade," priced at £20, and will be limited to 1,000 copies globally.

The album will be sold in NFT format through the "eco-friendly" Serenade platform, on the Polygon Blockchain.

Buyers will get a downloadable version of the album as high-res FLAC format and Muse will digitally sign it, while each of the 1,000 buyers will have their names permanently listed on the linked roster of purchasers.

Serenade's founder Max Shand declared to the Guardian about the collaboration with Muse:

"What a fan wants is something that is simple and understandable, but gives a sense of closeness to the artist, a recognizability from other fans."

Other statements come from the music world, with Martin Talbot, chief executive of the Official Charts Company:

"Just as vinyl, 8-track, cassette tapes, CDs and even MiniDisc, DCC and DAT have been welcomed into the charts, we will also welcome NFTs -- and we will be delighted when the first album delivered as an NFT contributes to the charts, with Serenade and Muse leading the way this summer."

Fans will be able to purchase using their cryptocurrency wallet, paying in Bitcoin or Ethereum, or using a common credit card.
