NFT TWEET TILES ON TWITTER
Twitter new feature: "See on Marketplace" your own NFT
Twitter is testing with selected users an experimental feature, called NFT Tweet Tile, that allows users to display ads from NFT partner marketplaces.
Twitter, like Facebook and Instagram, may also integrate NFT in the future. For now, the company, now owned by Elon Musk, which has promised big changes and has already begun to revolutionize its internal organization, has announced an experimental feature that prominently displays NFT ads when users tweet a link to them, provided they come from one of its partner marketplaces. An NFT Tweet Tile, as the company calls it, displays a large photo of the digital artwork, along with the title and author. It also features a button that takes users directly to the marketplace ad where they can buy or sell their collectibles.
Twitter currently has four partners: multi-chain NFT marketplace Rarible, Solana- and Ethereum-focused marketplace Magic Eden, Dapper Labs (the team behind Top Shot), and Jump.trade. Twitter stated that "some" links from these four sites will appear as Tweet Tiles NFT for those chosen to participate in the test. Note that the partner marketplaces cover several blockchain networks, including Flow, Polygon, and Tezos.
The company is testing the integration with selected Twitter users on iOS and web and is not limited to Twitter Blue Premium subscribers. Twitter previously gave paying members access to another experimental feature that allowed them to link cryptocurrency wallets to their accounts and display an NFT as a profile photo, which appears with an icon indicating that they are the official owners of the digital artwork.
We'll just have to wait and see what all the Twitter news has in store for us.
